Christmas lights up Cesenatico with a magical atmosphere enveloping streets, squares, and the Canal Harbour. The city turns into a huge Christmas stage, with twinkling lights, markets, events and one of the most evocative nativity scenes in Italy.
One of the main attractions of Christmas in Cesenatico is the famous Maritime Crib, set up on the historical boats of the Floating Museum along the Leonardesque Canal Port. It will be visible from 30 November 2025 until 11 January 2026.
But during the festivities, the city also hosts numerous markets in the historic centre.
Traditional and craft markets: along Viale Anita Garibaldi on 6, 7, 8, 14, 21, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28 December 2025 and 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 January 2026. Here you will find typical products, handicrafts, sweets, gift ideas and mulled wine.
Mercatino dei Creativi: in the old town, via Baldini and via Quadrelli from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on 6-7-8-14-20-21-26-27-28 December and 1-3-4-6 January 2026, with handmade objects and handicrafts.
Advent Market: only Sunday 8 December on the Canal Harbour, organised by the Consulta del Volontariato.
Mercatino della Solidarietà (Solidarity Market): from 8 December to 11 January in the hall next to the Church of San Giacomo, from 9-12 am and 3-7 pm.
Events and entertainment:
Christmas in Cesenatico will be animated by musical shows, itinerant entertainment, workshops for children at the Maritime Museum and Casa Moretti, as well as theatre performances at the municipal theatre.
