There are flavours that tell the story of a region better than any words can. Among these is Sangiovese, the wine that has always been part of the history of the Coriano hills and the Romagna region.
On Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd August, the historic centre is transformed into a vast culinary journey with the Sangiovese Street Festival, the 58th Sangiovese Fair, one of the most cherished events of the summer in Coriano.
From the afternoon until late in the evening, the streets of the village come alive with wines from local wineries, to be tasted alongside specialities prepared at the food stalls, made with produce sourced from local farms. It is an opportunity to get to know the region’s finest local produce up close and rediscover the most authentic flavours of the Romagna tradition.
Accompanying the tastings will be live music, making a stroll through the squares and streets of the town centre even more enjoyable, in a festive and convivial atmosphere.
The Sangiovese Street Festival is also an environmentally conscious event: all materials used for catering are eco-compostable, underlining the commitment to making the event increasingly sustainable.
Entry is free. A great opportunity to spend an evening enjoying a glass of wine, delicious flavours and the warm hospitality of Romagna, in the heart of Coriano.
