The Festival of Forgotten Fruits of Casola Valsenio is the traditional event dedicated to the rediscovery of those fruits whose use has been lost.
In the second and third weekend of October, the Casola farmers display and sell the autumn fruits harvested from old plants that have survived the cultural changes or from new plants grown after the revival of interest in the peasant diet of the past.
This singular market exhibition, with strictly local products, is accompanied by a series of other installations and reconstructions that recall the atmospheres of the rural world of the past, the sale of products, tastings of forgotten wines and fruits, themed meetings, food stands based on forgotten fruits and chestnuts, culinary workshops, product exhibitions, and popular shows.
