Golf and Art holidays in Romagna

A chance to visit the artistic heritage sites just a stone’s throw from the golf clubs

The several golf courses in Romagna are the perfect destination for practicing your favourite sport in a land rich in history and art. After setting down your clubs, you can choose to visit wonderful cities filled with art, easily reachable from nearly all the golf clubs.

Golfers staying at clubs near the city of mosaics, Ravenna, can enjoy the eight UNESCO monuments in and around the city dating back to the early-Christian period. In Ferrara, a Renaissance city, the historic centre itself is a UNESCO heritage site, together with the holiday residences of the Este dynasty − commonly known as Delizie Estensi − and the Po River Delta.

The two golf clubs in the province of Rimini are good starting points for excursions to admire the Bridge of Tiberius, the Arch of Augustus and other landmarks from the city’s Roman past. If you’re staying in Romagna, you could also take a Rationalist architecture tour of Forlì, or stop in at the International Ceramics Museum in Faenza to discover the art of Faentine majolicas, or visit the 15th century Malatestiana Library in Cesena.
